Hard to understand much from the testing Ducati would be sandbagging plenty of potential left in that bike, the greatest GP Bike ever made

Great time to be alive, the Europeans have completely smashed the Japanese houses, really only happened over the last decade or so

Comment on 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 Review | Triumph gets serious by cubeover https://www.mcnews.com.au/triumph-tiger-1200-review-2022-rally-test/#comment-578161 Sat, 04 May 2024 04:22:55 +0000 https://www.mcnews.com.au/?p=394464#comment-578161 Had one, sold it after 4 months.
Reasons:
– untuneable suspension that would not suit (one scale 1-9 for all settings, 2 too soft wobbly and 3 too hard bumpy)
– stupid 500 rpm drop down for eco when clutch fully pulled in, makes you stall like a noob every now and then as you have to give it time to rev back up to 1500 where it can go
– weird egos for such a large bike (I am 187cm tall), I have rolled handlebar up and high, still a bit crouchy and knees out of place
All else is good, it is just an overkill for the suburbs where I live and I decided not to keep two bikes.

Offset spark plug, valve cover, pushrod or cam chain tunnel on left hand side of motor? Also looks too big for a 75!

If you really want know who makes the fastest production bike (that’s what customers want to know right?) then restrict mods to fairing, exhaust, and a tune…that’s it. That should eliminate any confusion for teams and scruitiners.

Currently worth around only half of a Z900, but surely that won’t last.
